"God has blessed us with another miracle," T.I. said in a statement. Baby Harris was named after a legendary Philadelphia Soul artist best remembered for his 1975 hit single "Love Won't Let Me Wait." The Game revealed last night on the Hot 97 Funkmaster Flex show that he wants to recruit the man who knocked out Suge Knight. "I just think you win some, you lose some," The Game stated. "Suge's not a boxer. It's not like he's Muhammad Ali, and he's been in the game and somebody finally beats you" The Game revealed on-air. The Game and Mr. Knight have had tense moments in the past but the two have recently made up. The Game goes on to say he feels that the older generation is going to have to respect the young up-and-comers. Good luck Game, but this kid looks mad cocky an I don't know, but I smell a "publicity stunt". Leonard Grant aka Uncle Murder was arrested at LAX last night for carrying a fake ID. Airport security pulled the rapper out of line because his I.D. looked suspect. He received a citation and then was released. Why are you carrying a fake ID???????? Murda's court date is set for June 4.

Seems like a lot of our favorites are slipping further and further down the charts while some artists hang in there at the top ten and very few on the up. Maintaining on the top ten but falling a few spots are Madonna coming in thsi week at No.3 selling 94,200 copies this week Mrs, Mariah Cannnon falls down three spots and comes in at No.5 selling 87,100 copies Also falling three spots coming in at No.6 is UK songstress Leona Lewis And now to our "So sad to see ya go" artists Last week I predicted that Lyfe Jennings would continue to rise and knock some of our favorites down a few spots but I certainly am not WALTER MERCADO as Senor Jennings has fallen and can't get up, he's dropped out of the top ten falling eight spots to No.12 Senor Rick Ross has also taken a nose dive sliding down eight spots to No.34 but is SOLID GOLD with a total sales of 501,600 copies in nine weeks...this is why he's the Boss! Next year 50 Cent will be one of the richest and most powerful men in all of entertainment. 50 Cent is in the midst of putting together one of the most comprehensive entertainment deals ever signed. According to sources, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson" is on the verge of signing a 10 year deal which will give News Corp far reaching control over the 50 Cent brand. And the deal is also poised to launch the company's MySpace Records into the big leagues.
Say goodbye to the days of traditional brick and mortar record labels, and hello to the world of major web sites and Corporate media. I think the majors are stumped now on this one. Major Artists like 50 Cent no longer need Interscope to back their album. I bet Jimmy Iovine is not liking this one bit. Right now music executives are struggling in the business and artists like 50 Cent are making more money than them in 1 year than what they can make in 5 years. First 50, now Alicia Key has reportedly landed a $25 million deal with beverage company Glaceau to front a new campaign for its Vitamin Water line. Well the Knowles sisters are at it again. The ladies have made history in Tokyo this week by becoming the first African-American celebrities to star in a campaign for prominent Japanese fashion company Samantha Thavasa. The ladies have been promoting a summer line of Hand Bags, and have appeared on a billboard overlooking the Tokyo's Fashion District. Theses young ladies are about that money. I think it's a good thing when siblings could work together, best of luck to you both!

My man Big Boi is doing it big this year, he is shooting for a finished album by the end of August. The first single off the disc, "Royal Flush," features Andre 3000 and Wu-Tang Clan's Raekwon. Mary J. Blige comes through for the second single, "The World is Too Big." Big Boi recently premiered his collabo with the Atlanta Ballet, "Big." He is currently in talks to take the show on the road internationally with concert promotion company AEG and Live Nation. Check out the video below of Mr. Big Boi doing his thing!

Just minutes ago, Reminisce Smith received an 8 year sentence in the Manhattan Criminal Court for weapons and coercion charges. Remy wept as she pleaded to the judge. "I stand here today as Remy Mackie," she said with tears in her eyes, referring to Papoose's last name. "I'm a loving wife, mother and loving daughter and loving sister to my brothers and sisters." After the sentencing, Papoose got into a shoving match with a court officer. "All y'all want is fucking money," he yelled. "This is bullshit. Remy is innocent." The two were to be married yesterday, but the wedding was called off because "genius" boy smuggled a skeleton key into the jail. I wonder how much money he is getting paid for this circus he is putting on?

So this is when you know your movement is starting to become recognized by the industry. Just yesterday, EG Radio was shut down for over 4 hours due to a third party representing International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI). The company basically issued a DMCA (Digital Milenueum Copyright Act) violation for a mix show in which we featured one of Mariah Carey's songs. What is interesting about this is that we do nothing but promote the music we play, and furthermore - Def Jam's promoters and label reps email us mp3's all the time. It just so happens that this one was actually passed on to us by a representative of the label. However - it seems like there is still a huge disconnect in this industry. Larger firms still think it is piracy to promote music. These labels basically hire these companies to find any hint of a violation, and I suppose that is how these third party companies get paid. A very sad state of the music industry we are in right now. As a result, EG Radio was shut down for 4 hours yesterday and we were forced to remove the audio content. Now we can no longer promote Mariah Carey's album in which I personally bought and happen to like the album. L.A Reid - get a clue man! IFPI, Online Radio,
It looks like the wedding between Papoose and Remy Ma have been delayed for atleast another 6 months. According to a recent report on Hot 97 in New York this morning, DJ Envy reported that Papoose was caught with a skeleton key while entering the jail enroute to marry his fiance in Rikers. This wasn't too popular with the authorities there even though Papoose indicated it is more of a charm that he personally carries. So they denied him entry and put a ban on Papoose from seeing Remy for atleast another six months. Wow! They have terrible luck. I don't think Papoose has any intentions of having Remy escape with that skeleton key, but I think the negative press around Remy and her call from Rikers may have had a lot to do with it.
