Its Weezy Mania week!! It looks like Lil Wayne's track called "Dying" borrowed a sample from a folk singer by the name of Karma. Karma sued Lil Wayne for using her hook on a song called "Once" which can be found on her MySpace Page. Apparently the music was sampled without her consent where the hook states: "Only once the drugs are done, I feel like Dying!".

However - Weezy's label has been trying to reach a settlement, but Karma is not settling. This chic is smart and will likely win! She kind of reminds me of DIDO. Not to mention - she is pretty talented if you check out the performances and songs below.

My people, mi gente....Malverde hit me up and let me know LOCOS POR JUANA were performing at S.O.B's and even though it was short notice I got my ish together and made my way just in time to catch the performance. The group was on fire and the women were tearing up the floor by the front stage. The rhythms summoned the ancestors and we all felt their spirits making us sway and move to the beat. It was a small intimate performance and the ladies jumped on stage and danced in a little friendly competition, the winner won a guitar! I should of got up there and Supersized the party but that wouldn't have been fair. I got to see my boy Ralph for a minute and The Dey was in the house and of course Malverde! This creep allegedly choked the woman during an argument at 50cent's property in Conneticut. This isn't the first time he has been in trouble. Courts show that he pistol whipped a man in a nightclub in Hartford,Conneticut and was on a conditional discharge from that case. Fitty needs to rid himself of this crap. ITS 4:32AM AND I HAVE SOME BAD NEWS……..
AS you all know, I shared with you the announcment of my newborn son Xavier Kingston Joiner on may 15th and also informed you that he was born prematurly. well this week was extremly difficult for him because his lungs were not strong enough to handle regular oxygen on his own. Xavier passed away this morning at 3:30am and I must tell you this, It is unatural for a parent to bury a child. I am telling you this because of the same reason I tell you when im having great times, life is too short to be fake. Hold on to your kids if you have them, protect them and show them you love them everyday you wake up and see them, dont take a second you get to hug them teach them and care for them for granted. You can have all the material wealth in the universe but it is NOTHING compared to having your family. I am thankful for all of my blessings and im not one to question God’s perfect plan, so I leave you with great love and thanks for the love that was sent earlier on my pervious blog to my son. Of course I need to take some time and handle my loss, STAY FOCUSED PEOPLE. Its not promised to any of us.

When I am on the road and off a PC, I always find myself looking to view the latest Hip Hop videos and Hip Hop related YouTube content on my cell phone. In the last 3 months, I have spent months researching this and had no success in attempting to watch/view YouTube videos from the web on my Windows Mobile Mogul phone. Despite reviewing articles like the ones here, I was unable to get this stuff working properly. Just over the weekend my brother introduced me to an application called vTap and it works great! If your looking for an easy and intuitive way to view YouTube and Web video content, be sure to download this application to your Windows Mobile Device. The application has its own built in application t by typing in key words your essentially seconds away from viewing web or You Tube video.

This was before Myk Jones came on board, and we still had the Live 365 Account. Interesting progress over the last 2 years.

So a recent article just published by AllHipHop.Com stipulated that a Snoop Dogg concert scheduled in California was canceled due to fears of Gang Violence. Last night was no different, I was at a hot spot celebrating my homie Melle Mel's birthday, when who comes strolling into VIP-none other than UK singing sensation ESTELLE, spreading that UK love. Oh she was rocking some fierce shoes and she had on a silver raincoat type jacket but the thing I noticed the most about her was that smile. She lit up the room. Even though I was there as a guest I always rep Eg Radio so of course I wanted to meet her but I also wanted to get that pic of Estelle repping Eg Radio. As you can imagine she was being bum rushed by paparazzi and fans alike. She was warm and friendly posing with everyone and when I saw a window of opportunity I...

walked right up to her and announced that I was from Eg Radio and would she mind taking a picture for our site. She flashed her big smile at me and said "Of course sweety" she looked at the flyer and said " Oh I seen this before, I've heard of you guys" she quickly pulled in her friend and Vaughn Anthony (who was celebrating his birthday as well)and they held up their flyers and flashed their red carpet ready smiles. I reached out to take the flyer back and she said " Oh, can I keep it, I'm going to check you guys out" (I love her accent) she then told her friend Vaughn "You need to give your info to this young lady right here she's from the radio station"

Vaughn Anthony was just as warm and he gave me his manager's number, so look out for his music on "The Midnight Hour" show play list. I love when artists are on their grind. I had the chance to check out Vaughn Anthony's myspace page and the brother can blow, I am loving "Love Hustle", make sure you check him out at www.myspace.com/vaughnanthony1 and let him know I sent you, we gotta support greatness on the rise! And ladies he's a hottie!

You all know me , I am a ham and a half I wanted a picture with Estelle so she asked her friend to take the picture for me.

I thanked her for posing then I stepped back over to Mel's side of VIP and watched Estelle interact with her fans and press, she was poised and had that smile for everyone, at one point she started singing and she stood up on the couch and did a little dance and posed for some more pics. She's got a wonderful personality. She truly is a shining example of an artist who loves what they do and loves and has respect for her fans and for press. She was made for this life. Oh Bloody hell, I love this girl! I wonder what she thinks of American boys? Hmm, I'll have to ask her that if I can get an interview.

Oh yes, I almost forgot John Legend was there but his bodyguard was rude to me when I was about to take a pic (basically I got pushed and asked to leave the area!) and I was invited by Mel and I wasn't even pushing or crowding anyone. I imagine an artist of his caliber gets crazy attention at unwanted times. Oh well, maybe I'll catch him @ S.O.B's or another night I'm out on the town. I'll blog about that in a minute.

I don't know if you all remember the statements made by "Star" of Power 105 against DJ Envy's daughter, and wife a few years ago. It has come back to bite him in the ass, as NYC Councilman John Liu, called him a "sick, racist, pedophile" for making sexually offensive remarks. In his suit, Star claimed Liu's verbal attack towards him was motivated "by his desire for self-promotion and aggrandizement." I guess it goes without saying that Star lost his claim. In 2006, the infamous Star aka Troi Torain was briefly charged with child endangerment after commenting about the wife and then 4-year-old daughter of rival NY radio station Hot 97's DJ Envy. Star was fired after he offered $500 for information about Envy's daughter's school and he went on to make sexual remarks about the child. He also threw racial slurs about Envy's wife who is of Asian decent. Liu reacted to the ruling by stating "it was good news that no more taxpayer's money will be wasted by Star's lawsuit." Star's lawyer was not available for response. I believe in Freedom of Speech, but my dude the little girl was 4 YEARS old. What's wrong with you?

Nas is to thought what 50 is to feuds. Rapper Nas has done what most people are afraid to do and that's to push societies envelope. The power of the spokenword is in its reaction that it recieves. Nas is a master of this art and his music has always had a message. Though that mole on his face bothers the heck out of me. I'm paranoid that the damn thing will jump out and attack me everytime i see a video of his. Nas is not a true n**ger, he is more of a negro with a gift. He is a shade below black and did'nt attend school long enough to be considered an African American. Will Smith makes him seem like Malcolm X. Mr. William's home was raided by U.S. Marshalls on Tuesday, May 20 and arrested William's cousin Robert McGhee age 31, who was wanted in a drug related shooting after spotting his car parked in front of the comedian's home in LA. Ohio police accuse McGhee of shooting a man in the chest on April 24 in Dayton Ohio, during a drug deal.

“This arrest highlights why it is critical for federal, state, and local law enforcement to team together to investigate and locate such dangerous fugitives,” U.S. Marshal James Wahlrab stated. “Criminals do not recognize jurisdictional boundaries that often limit our partnering agencies. Through tremendous collaboration and the efforts of our task force officers, we were able to utilize all of the necessary resources across the nation to apprehend this suspect.”

Authorities are currently digging up the backyards of both 60's psycho Charles Manson and unstable DMX. One is suspected of burying people and the other is accused of burying pitbull's. They both had and have a history of drug use. Charles thought of himself as Jesus and DMX thought he was a federal agent. The similarities are endless and funny if you think of it as that. One is doing life in jail and the other is working on getting arrested for life. I wonder if they have uncovered the career of Cuban rapper Pitbull from that site, god knows he hasn't had a hit in years. At this rate he'll join spanish actor Eric Estrada and the chihuhua from the taco bell commercials at the unemployment line. Lets just hope Earl gets his life right. 40Master

As Day 3 of testimonies wrapped up, Sparkle aka Stephanie Edwards took the stand and positively identified both R. Kelly and the girl in the video. Sparkle introduced the girl who at the time was a 12 year old family member who aspired to be a rapper to Mr. Kelly. Sparkle goes on to say that she brought the girl to Kelly's home and his studio. A lawyer's assistant brought Sparkle the video in question in 2001 for positive identification of the participants in the video. Kelly's defense lawyer, Edward Genson, tried to paint the testimony as being motivated for money and revenge stemming from the fact that Sparkle had split from Kelly's label. Sparkle says "I would see little things of something, But I would hope that it was nothing, when asked if she ever suspected the two for being too "friendly with each other". Aye Mr. Kelly, what are you gonna do? Just leave them young girls alone!

Mr. T.I, is doing his thing, the new dad is taking advantage of his "free time" until he turns himself in for his prison sentence next year. Along with his commitment to speaking to our youth about his troubles and tribulations, he plans to criss-cross the country with concerts. That's what's up! There is a concert scheduled in the ATL alongside rival Shawty Lo. T.I. is set to perform in NYC, Chicago and Missouri next month featuring Keyshia Cole and Bun B, among other artists. "Between the hours that the curfew doesn't apply, he is free to go and do anything, basically," Steve Sadow, TIP's lawyer says. "But he has a full time monitor with him and he has to get permission to go out of town and permission is given for work or community service." I think T.I. is doing positive things and hey, we're all human right? We all make mistakes, I guess he's trying to make up for his.

Al Sharpton has gone on record to applaud the National Action Network’s Decency Initiative for playing a role in motivating Nas to change his album title. As of May 19, Nasir confirmed his decision to change his "Nigger" album to Untitled.

"Clearly, putting their focus and pressure on the companies and not engaging in a fruitless pursuit of chasing a never ending and ever changing roster of artists has proven to be smart," Rev. Sharpton said in a statement. "The record companies and retailers have the power as this Nas matter shows. Had not the [NAN's] Decency Initiative and other groups put the pressure on, this change of title on Nas' album would never had been a corporate concern."

The three officers who were found "innocent" for killing Sean Bell are in jeopardy of losing their jobs. After the acersosos went home labeled "Free Men" they now face internal charges at work. Each man was accused of firing their weapon outside of NYPD departmental guidelines - a serious offense that could result in an ousting from the force. The Rev. Al Sharpton, who has been active about the injustice that took place, leading a citywide march earlier this week, issued a statement saying, he feels the charges are "a step in right direction," but he wants the officers involved axed without a drawn out internal procedure. Sharpton goes on to compare Sean Bell's shooting to a recent incident in Philadelphia involving Police beating the hell out of their victim,there were no fatalities but four officers were fired and others disciplined for their actions. But these schmucks kill an innocent man and they get off. What kind of shit is that? I REALLY hope justice will be served once and for all for Nicole and Bell's family.

Dr. Dre's former right hand man Bruce Williams claims that the Rev. Al Sharpton tried to extort both he and Dre. He allegedly threatened to march and protest against the label for using ill concieved words and degrading woman. He wanted them to pay 500 thousand dollars to a undisclosed charity. They gave Al 250 thousand dollars. Williams maintains that he helped Sharpton orchestrate and defuse the squabble between rappers "50cent" and "The Game" in Harlem. The long awaited trial for Robert Kelly aka Kels is set to begin today 5/20 after six years of delays. The jury selected consists of 12 jurors, 8 white and 4 black jurors. Among the jury: a young woman who said she was raped before, a businessman who said he believed Kelly to be guilty, and a Baptist Preacher’s wife. By the looks of it, this is going to be one hell of a trial for El Aceroso R. Kelly who is pleading not guilty. His lawyer claims that the man in the video is not Mr. Kelly, and the young woman who is now 23 years of age is claiming the same. Well good luck to you, if O.J. got off maybe there is some hope for you. If found guilty Kels is facing up to 15 years in prison. God only knows why I wasn't chosen for the jury.

Mr. "Lick the Rapper" is set to close out the BET Awards airing on June 24, so viewers can expect to get a grand opening as well as a grand closing as Usher will open the show. NICE! Mr. Weezy is also in talks to appear in "The Fast and The Furious 4" he leaked it during a press conference last week. The movie is scheduled to arrive in theatres in 2009 with original cast members; Paul Walker, sexxy Vin Diesel and fine-ass Michelle Rodriguez. Weezy is also appearing in the "Patriots" alongside Forest Whitaker hitting theaters this November. That's why Lil Wayne is a 10 in my book, YES he might be a little deranged but I love his swag, he's the man!

This picture here is interesting because of the history of the Native Americans and Afican Americans. Hundreds of years ago both of these races of people were being dehumanized,slaughtered,raped,etc. Their is an anger as Obama himself put it but not just to blacks but all minorities. Puerto Ricans identify themselves with Taino Indians more than they do with their heritage from Spain. Race will always be an issue because White American will not sitdown and have a discussion about it. It's segregation all over again. We can live in their neighborhoods and adjust but they can't live in ours. My point is that all this resentment about the history of America won't be resolved until the issue is dealt with. Freedom of speech is the thing that makes this country great. Why is it that we can't take advantage of that freedom to have a discussion? I doubt Obama will win due to his race and that is sad. A representative for Def Jam has announced that the album formerly known as Nigger will be untitled.

I think it's a great thing when artists get together for a GREAT cause! Wyclef Jean has announced he will be launching "Together for Haiti" (Kombit Pou Ayiti), a new partnership that will provide food and jobs in response to the current food crisis in Haiti which is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. "Together for Haiti" is a collaborative effort between Jean’s Yéle Haiti, the World Food Programme(WFP) and the Pan American Development Foundation (PADF). There will a press conference held tomorrow May 20, to officially announce the launching. Wyclef and other celebrities will be present for this event. In my perspective I believe you can come from any part of the world and still look back to those you left behind. I have a new found respect for Mr. Jean.

Santo Domingo President Leonel Fernandez has declared vitory in the national elections. With about 54% of the vote. His opponent center-left construction magnant Miguel Vargas had 41% of the vote. I wonder who went after the platano and so sock vote. Word is that Miguel lost because he speaks slow spanish therefore alienating the whole country. Leonard (50 cent) Hinton aka "The real 50cent" filed a lawsuit against Czar Entertainment in Manhattan last week. Czar Entertainment is releasing a biographical film about his life called "The Infamous Times of the Original 50 cent". The reason stated was that "They wrongly infer that he practices the lifestyle of violence, narcotics and weapons". He apparently isn't happy with the way he is being depicted in the movie. True crime heads know that Leonard Hinton was a notorious stick-up man who terrorized the streets of Brooklyn, N.Y. He is currently serving a 12 to life sentence for attempted murder, gun and drug possesion charges. He is the inspiration for the stage name of rapper 50cent aka Curtis Jackson.

Homeboy right here has finally lost his fucking mind, he got treated at the Mayo Clinic under the alias of "Troy Jones". On April 15 Earl Simmons aka DMX checked into a Phoenix campus' emergency room complaining of shortness of breath and chest pains. What makes it worse is that he goes on to say “Someone in the projects is going to get the bill.” Does that make any sense, here is "Where my dogs at?" DMX dodging a Hospital Bill? Although Mr. Simmons owns a clothing line and performs his music he appears to be in a financial struggle. He and Tashera (his wife) were sued in Maricopa County Superior Court last year by American Express Travel for $64,866 plus late charges, interest on a credit card and attorneys’ fees. The couple had paid a portion of the bill, but with other fees, still owed $83,353 as of April 23. This is sad homeboy get your his shit together. FOR REAL!!!
