The event took place in Florida @ Carol City Park and the event is sponsored by Rick Ross, it is a day of food and fun and it is an event that provides local children with back to school items as well a scholarship given to one lucky child.
Well, the fun ended as soon as Senor Ross took to the stage...that's when the shots rang out,causing many people attending to flee for their lives. In an interview Rick Ross had given to

Miami News Times Rick Ross discussed how being in the public eye sort of makes you a target.

"Whenever you are in the public eye," he continues, "you become a target to some extent. So you gotta always be ready for that. Where I come from ... I'm ready anyway, for no reason. Just know that." Standing six-foot-two and weighing around 300 pounds, Ross looks like he means business. "This is fair warning to everybody. I'm strapped, boy, and I'm gonna let your ass have it, period. I don't know if Ross was the intended target but in any event I am sure no one expected something like this to pop off at an event for children.

Whether Rick Ross' raps were true story or not , the man was trying to give back and help the children of his hood in Miami. What is this world coming to? I just hope this doesn't get any uglier and I am hoping the shots were not aimed at The Boss, I mean they shouldn't have taken place from the gate but right now details are sketchy so I will update everyone as the updates come through. This is Rick Ross' second annual event...will there be a third and if so will anyone attend? Damn shame.
