The city of Baltimore continues to mourn the loss of 30-year-old DJ K-Swift, funeral arrangements for the Ambassador of the Baltimore club scene have been released. The New Shiloh Baptist Church will host the memorial services on Friday. Immediately following the viewing will be a special wake, with tributes by the Edgerton Family and K-Swift’s extended family at Radio One’s 92Q Jams (WERQ-FM). On Saturday, following a wake at 10am, friends and family will gather at the Murphy Fine Arts Center at Morgan State University to pay their final respects, with funeral services starting at 11 am.
K-Swift is said to have jumped into a shallow, above-ground pool early Monday morning, never to resurface. Friends pulled her out of the pool and called 911. She was pronounced dead upon arrival at Good Samaritan Hospital. While the autopsy is still pending, authorities believe alcohol played a role in her death. Once again our condolences go out to the Edgerton Family.
