Now I finally come to realize that either the music business and it's artists are either desparate for some of that Corporate Money or exposure, or perhaps the people who hired Lil Wayne are unaware of his background. Lil Wayne is scheduled to perform at a Drunk Awarness concert tonight in Florida for the Dahlem Benevolent Fund - after Lt. Corey Dahlem was killed by a drunk driver. Of all people, Lil Wayne was selected. I dont think Lil Wayne should be setting the example for those who should not drink and drive. The kid uses drugs heavily, has a rap sheet the size of 2 football fields, and has recent lawsuits pending from fans suing him because of the violence initiated at his concerts. This is like Bob Marley having an Anti Weed campaign. If you ask me, there is something fishy popping. Is he doing this for charity in exchange to redeem his reputation? Do the concert promoters know about his criminal record? Do the concert promoters need him to raise the money and will oversee his criminal background? Or maybe this business is really going nuts?
